This is the best time to begin considering the product Standard and Code requirements that apply to your new product. The benefits of starting early during the concept and/or design phase can't be overstated. The high costs of redesign due to component changes, necessary physical layout changes, insulation coordination modifications, and prototype creation increase rapidly as the process moves towards manufacturing and certification. We can help you determine what the relevant requirements are and provide guidance on options available to avoid the risk and related costs associated with non-compliance.

Test Program Development

Construction alone does provide some confidence that a product will not introduce hazards, but most Product Safety Standards also require testing to verify that the product maintains it's compliance following production, shipping, and utilization. Often, specific test programs are optimized by considering the tests already conducted on the components, the specific design employed, and the product's functionality. Our experience enables us to develop internal tests to reduce the risk of non-compliant certification results, to go further than typical type testing necessary for compliance, and to go even further towards evaluating durability and reliability. Certainly, we can work with certifiers on your behalf to minimize testing, sample requirements thereby reducing costs and time to market.

Certification Documentation

Knowing you comply with the construction and performance requirements of a Product Standard is valuable. Being able to communicate efficiently and effectively with certification organizations like UL, ETL, TUV, CSA, etc. can add tremendous value and reduce wasted resources. By anticipating certification engineer's concerns based on years of experience in renewable energy product certifications, we can proactively prepare effective and clear documentation paving the way for efficient certification evaluations.
